The Department of Commerce was allocated by the SPARK Committee and State Finance Council, nearly $140 million dollars to provide businesses with grants through CARES Act funding. These grants will be provided to businesses to address a variety of needs and will address both Small Business needs, COVID-19 R&D and production and manufacturing of PPE to help the State’s supply chain to address those needs that still exist.
We want to share how the business grants will be rolled out. It is important that we get this information to you in order to limit any confusion that hinders a business from being able to receive consideration for a grant.
Please view information on the Kansas Commerce website, found at the link below (click on the "FIND OUT MORE" button). You may review the grant details and eligibility requirements, access the application and gather the type of information that will be needed in order to receive consideration. While you may view the applications, you cannot submit them until Wednesday, August 19, 12:00 p.m. CST.
